Our purpose here at PA Local Bands is to grow and support the music scene in Pennsylvania. Whether it is listings for venues to find bands, resources that bands need to grow or even having a feature done to draw new fans. The solemn promise that we give is that we ensure that the bands come first. So we encourage all who read this to join us in building a brighter tomorrow for the Pennsylvania music scene.
The Pennsylvania Rock Show is a online radio show/podcast/FM program that features a studio guest and is full of songs from the best unsigned bands Pennsylvania has to offer. It airs the first Sunday of every month on Megarock Radio & on KFGD 107.1 FM St. Louis every Sunday of each month at 10:00am EST. Find out more about the Pennsylvania Rock Show on our press kit page. Our Mission: The Pennsylvania Rock Show creates an avenue for worldwide exposure for which otherwise bands would not have any outlets other than a local bar or party.
I have been writing and recording music for roughly 20 years. I got my start as a young child listening to my mother sing and play guitar and sitting by the large console stereo listening to records with her. I then began to teach myself how to sing and became a vocalist in many a cappella groups such as the “Distinguished Gentlemen” and “Common Ground,” in which we performed across the Mid-Atlantic Region in such cities as Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Cleveland and placed 4th at the National Harmony Sweepstakes at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. We had the pleasure of sharing the stage with such legendary groups as “The Monkeys,” “The Marcells,” “The Tymes,” “The Vogues” and “The Contours.” I run the Weekly RockBlog podcast.
